Why study the Master of Applied Linguistics?

This program is being offered in response to the demand for a 2-year Masters program from students who have completed MA-level studies and wish to take up a dissertation before advancing to a research higher degree. This postgraduate coursework program offers study in the fields of Applied Linguistics and TESOL. The program has two missions. The first is to provide a quality professional development program for teachers of English and other second languages, and language professionals in translation, interpreting and other second language areas. The second mission is to provide coursework students the opportunity to explore research options and develop specialisations for further study.
