Why study the Graduate Certificate in Midwifery?
This Graduate Certificate program is an entry point for midwives who have hospital qualifications and extensive experience, but may have no prior university study. The program will enable students to further develop their midwifery knowledge and skills in general or in a speciality field. There are two fields of study available in the program, Complex Midwifery Care and Advanced Practice Midwifery. This program is an entry point for prospective students who are currently endorsed as a midwife but do not hold an undergraduate degree or equivalent.

Careers
Midwives work in a variety of public or private health care settings, maternity and neonatal care settings, community health, academic/teaching, research, rural and remote health, aid organisations, and/or a combination of these areas.

To complete the Graduate Certificate in Midwifery
To fulfil the requirements of the Graduate Certificate in Midwifery, a student must complete the requisite number of courses chosen from the course list in accordance with the Program Rules.
Students must complete #8 from the Master of Midwifery course list.
