This program has a generic systems core that allows building various disciplinary fields as areas of focus within a framework of systems thinking and practice (including the use of tools to deal with complexity and integration). Students from these different fields will have the opportunity to work in multi-disciplinary and inter-faculty teams to practice the design of sustainable systems from different disciplinary angles. Students will be equipped with teamwork ethics and systems based knowledge, attitudes and tools to unravel and deal with complex issues in their day to day work, becoming fully equipped to be effective in our turbulent and changing 21st Century knowledge society.

To complete the Master of Sustainable Systems
To fulfil the requirements of the Master of Sustainable Systems, a student must complete the requisite number of courses chosen from the course list in accordance with the Program Rules.
#24 from the MSS list comprising
- #8 from Part A, B & C
- #8 from Part D in a nominated field
- #8 from Part D or E, or other courses approved by the Executive Dean.
