Prerequisites
To enrol, a person must ¿ (a) hold either a ¿ (i) Graduate Diploma in Epidemiology from the university with a GPA of 5; or (i) an approved degree in a related field with a GPA of 5 or equivalent; and (b) obtain the approval of the head of school.

Why study the Master of Epidemiology?
This program aims to provide structured coursework developing epidemiological and biostatistical skills to an advanced level and leading to a Master level qualification in epidemiology in order to credential an individual as an epidemiologist with strong methodological knowledge skills. All expenses incurred with dissertation are the responsibility of the student. Students cannot commence this program in Semester 2 if studying full time due to course sequencing. Very limited Summer Semester entry is available to domestic students as elective courses only are offered. .

What you can do with a Master of Epidemiology
Careers
UQ¿s Epidemiology program is geared toward individuals interested in pursuing careers as independent investigators in either public health (standard plan) or clinical research (clinical epidemiology plan). Four main areas of work hire epidemiologists and these are clinical/academia, health departments, industry and infection control.

To complete the Master of Epidemiology
To fulfil the requirements of the Master of Epidemiology, a student must complete the requisite number of courses chosen from the course list in accordance with the Program Rules.
A student is required to obtain #24 comprising #10 from Part A, and at least #10 from Parts B or C, and may include up to #4 from other postgraduate courses as approved by the Program Coordinator.
