An approved degree with completed tertiary studies in biochemistry, physiology and nutrition that meet the accreditation requirements of the national standards for dietetics.Entry is competitive based on GPA with a limited intake capacity.The minimum GPA to be considered for admission into this program is 4.0.
If an applicant has results pending in the semester of application, the results will not be included in the selection process.

Why study the Master of Dietetics Studies?
This program will prepare you for eligibility as an Accredited Practising Dietitian with the Dietitians Association of Australia. There is a growing demand for qualified dietitians in both Australia and overseas due to an increasing awareness of the importance of food and nutrition in health and disease prevention. You also develop the skills and knowledge to help people understand food and health relationships, enabling them to make better food choices to get the most out of their lifestyles.
What you can study
This program is designed for students with a background in nutrition science, public health nutrition, biochemistry, physiology and statistics. During your studies you will develop practical skills and knowledge in how to apply the art and science of human nutrition in the prevention and treatment of medical conditions such as diabetes, obesity and infectious diseases. Choose from a diverse range of courses and explore advanced topics and practices in dietetics and nutrition, such as mental health, rural health, paediatrics and private practice. If research is your passion, you can pursue this in your final semester and complete an innovative project alongside leading Australian dietetic researchers with national and international reputation. You will also have the potential to contribute to the published scientific literature.

To complete the Master of Dietetics Studies
To graduate with a Master of Dietetics Studies a student must have successfully completed all requirements of the program as certified by the Executive Dean. This includes courses to be taken to complete the program and any other specific conditions of the program including admission, enrolment and progression requirements.
