- a Graduate Certificate in Arts in Japanese Translation, and

Why study the Graduate Diploma in Arts in Japanese Interpreting and Translation?
The Graduate Diploma in Arts in Japanese Interpreting and Translation is a one-year, full-time coursework program in interpreting and translation offering a solid grounding in translation and consecutive interpreting. Translation is in one direction only - into students' (native) language, while interpreting is performed in both directions (Japanese to English, English to Japanese).

Additional application requirements
Proficiency in spoken and written Japanese and English. IELTS minimum of 6.5 overall.
Candidates must sit and pass the Aptitude Test set by the School of Languages and Cultures before being admitted to the program. A fee may apply for the Aptitude Test. More information about the aptitude test, and test dates can be found on the School of Languages and Cultures website.

To complete the Graduate Diploma in Arts in Japanese Interpreting and Translation
To graduate with a Graduate Diploma in Arts in Japanese Interpreting and Translation a student must have successfully completed all requirements of the program as certified by the Executive Dean. This includes courses to be taken to complete the program and any other specific conditions of the program including admission, enrolment and progression requirements.
