Why study the Master of International Public Health?
This program covers public health in the international context and would emphasise a population and public health approach to disease control and health improvement across populations and countries, from low to high income, in particular geographic and cultural contexts, and especially those experiencing demographic, health socio-cultural and economic transitions. This program would ensure a balance between disease control and health promotion for infectious disease and under-nutrition, and conditions associated with development such as cardiovascular diseases, cancer and injury and will also focus on the major causes of ill-health and premature mortality, as well as determinants of health and quality of life. Very limited Summer Semester entry is available to domestic students as elective courses only are offered.

What you can do with a Master of International Public Health
Careers
Graduates may choose roles as health professionals in government positions relating to health policy or as public health researchers. Qualifications in international health also help graduates secure a sought-after role with a non-government organisation or with international and bi-lateral aid agencies focussing on health and development such as the World Health Organisation and the World Bank.
Program rules for the Master of International Public Health
To complete the Master of International Public Health
To fulfil the requirements of the Master of International Public Health, a student must complete the requisite number of courses chosen from the course list in accordance with the Program Rules.
A student is required to obtain #16 or #24 from the MIPH List.
