Students with no economics background will be required to undertake a non-standard load in each of two semesters to enable completion of the advanced program in 4 fulltime semesters.

Why study the Master of Business Economics (Advanced)?
The Master of Business Economics (Advanced) is a graduate program that has been specifically tailored to meet the needs of decision-makers and policy advisers in business. Rapid change coupled with increasing business complexity is a challenge for management across all sectors, and 'economics-savvy' employees are a premium asset. This program does not presume prior knowledge or training in economics, and seeks to give existing and aspiring middle and upper managers necessary problem-solving skills, dovetailing with previous undergraduate training. The desired result is a business professional who has the multidisciplinary background needed in business today, a person who is a lateral thinker, analytically strong and adaptable.
The Advanced program may include a research thesis on an approved topic.

To fulfil the requirements of the Master of Business Economics (Advanced), a student must complete the requisite number of courses chosen from the course list in accordance with the Program Rules.
A student is required to obtain #32 from the MBusEcon(Adv) List comprising -
- #22 from Part A; and
- #10 from Part B.
