- a bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline (see below), or
- the Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma in Development Practice or Graduate Certificate in Community Development from UQ, or
- a bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in any discipline, plus 2 years full-time equivalent, relevant work experience (see below) in a paid or substantial volunteer capacity, evidenced through the submission of a portfolio that demonstrates the contribution made to the organisation or relevant community of interest, or
- the UQx Leadership in Global Development MicroMasters® credential program certificate plus 3 years full-time equivalent, relevant work experience (see below).

The Master of Development Practice provides interdisciplinary training in: the politics and histories of development; gendered dimensions of development; sustainability and climate change; Indigenous studies; as well as research techniques. Our unique perspective on Queensland specific issues, alongside those of our Pacific Island neighbours, is contextualised in national and international development settings. Equipped with new skills across community development, urban and regional planning, global political analysis and impact assessment, graduates establish diverse development-related careers across the public, private and community sector.

To complete the Master of Development Practice
To graduate with a Master of Development Practice a student must have successfully completed all requirements of the program as certified by the Executive Dean. This includes courses to be taken to complete the program and any other specific conditions of the program including admission, enrolment and progression requirements.
