Why study the Master of Project Management?
Project management is the discipline of organizing and managing resources in such a way that they deliver all the work required to complete a project within defined scope, time, cost and quality constraints within acceptable levels of risk. Project managers can be found in all industries. The postgraduate programs in project management at the University of Queensland are based on the nine, core knowledge areas of the international institutes of project management. Students are introduced to the principles and applications of project management in asset and operations mode. They also have the option to undertake an industry mentored research project. Graduates of the program demonstrate a strong understanding of the background, principles and applications of project management.

Program rules for the Master of Project Management
To complete the Master of Project Management
To fulfil the requirements of the Master of Project Management, a student must complete the requisite number of courses chosen from the course list in accordance with the Program Rules.
A student is required to obtain #24 from the MPM list comprising -
- #14 from part A; and
- either -
- #10 from part B; or
- #10 from one field of study in part C.
