Prerequisites
an approved Bachelor Degree in a relevant area of study with a GPA of at least 5.0 on a 7 point scale; or
an approved Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma in a relevant area of study with a GPA of at least 5.0 on a 7 point scale.
A relevant area of study for a field in:
- Cyber Defence is a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Mathematics or Software Engineering.
- Cyber Criminology is a degree in Sociology, Criminology, Criminal Justice or Crime Science.
- Cryptography is a degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Physics, Actuarial Science or Information Technology.
- Leadership is a degree in Commerce, Management, Business, Accounting, Information Technology, Computer Science, Leadership. In addition applicants must minimum of 5 years of supervisory/management experience. This may include, but is not limited to: managing a team of people, managing client accounts, the managerial components of any major projects, resource planning, direct responsibility for financial delegations.

Why study the Master of Cyber Security?
The Master of Cyber Security provides a high level, global perspective on cyber security and information security fundamentals. Students learn about the major cyber security challenges facing the world, and a range of responses including technical, policy, organisational, governance and geo-political.
Informed by the US National Institute of Standards and Technology's NICE (National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education) framework, the program brings a multi- and inter-disciplinary perspective to cyber security, with students learning how the broad range of skills and capabilities within the cyber security workforce interact.
The program offers four fields of study for students from a variety of academic backgrounds and experience, covering Cyber Defence, Cryptography, Cyber Criminology, and Leadership. Each field of study concludes with a capstone project which flexibly enables students to undertake internships or research projects according to their preference and career aspirations.

Program rules for the Master of Cyber Security
To complete the Master of Cyber Security
To graduate with a Master of Cyber Security a student must have successfully completed all requirements of the program as certified by the Executive Dean. This includes courses to be taken to complete the program and any other specific conditions of the program including admission, enrolment and progression requirements.
