- A 4-year bachelor degree in psychology (minimum IIA honours) or equivalent 4-year APAC-accredited program.
Applicants must also submit (via the Online Application):
- an Additional Application Information Form;
- you must have at least two completed referee reports in the Psychology Reference Portal (see additional information for applicants below);
- relevant academic transcripts, and a CV.
Applicants who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander who meet the minimum entry requirements for this program will be offered an interview. On admission to the program, you will need to provide evidence of your Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander status.

Why study the Master of Organisational Psychology?
This program prepares students for organisational psychology practice, focusing on building skills such as critical analysis, problem solving, communication, consultation and organisational change skills. Organisational psychology seeks knowledge of behaviour in organisational settings by systematically studying individual, group and organisational processes. Organisational psychology employs a 'scientist-practitioner' method of enquiry, first to seek understanding of behaviour within employment contexts, and then to develop techniques and skills which foster employee well-being and organisational effectiveness.
What you can study
The program combines theory, research and practice to develop students' professional skills within a broad range of strategic and functional areas, including job analysis and design, personnel selection and assessment, training and development, work design, leadership, and organisational development and change.

Placement courses
Students will undertake 1000 hours of supervised clinical practice across a minimum of three different workplace settings. During their placements, students will have the opportunity to apply their theoretical knowledge acquired through coursework and research to practice and develop their clinical skills in real life setting. Further information about clinical placements is available from the School of Psychology. Students may be required to undertake clinical placements outside of the Brisbane metropolitan area and students are required to fund their travel, accommodation and daily living expenses. Prior to applying, applicants should ensure they will be able to meet placement requirements outlined on this website.

Applicants with non-Australian degrees must have their qualifications assessed by the Australian Psychological Society. Irrespective of professional background, entry to the program will be considered on the basis of previous academic study, experience and personal qualities. Careers
As a graduate, you can work in varied and challenging roles in business, the public-sector and the community. The main areas for employment include: selection and recruitment training and development organisational development and change job design, ergonomics, measurement and evaluation academic teaching and research. The work of an organisational psychologist revolves around the development of an organisation's human resources to enhance motivation, performance and satisfaction. As a graduate, you may be involved in developing effective selection systems, designing and delivering training programs, introducing organisational change, designing jobs and organisational structures, facilitating the development of teams and training and developing executives, managers and supervisors.

To complete the Master of Organisational Psychology
To graduate with a Master of Organisational Psychology a student must have successfully completed all requirements of the program as certified by the Executive Dean. This includes courses to be taken to complete the program and any other specific conditions of the program including admission, enrolment and progression requirements.
