A bachelors degree in a variety of fields such as health, education, social, physical or biological sciences with a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) from previous tertiary study of 4.0.

Please note: this program requires a higher level of English language proficiency than the UQ minimum. IELTS overall 7; writing 6; speaking 8 is required.
Students are required to provide proof of immunisation against certain diseases, including hepatitis B before the commencement of study.
A Senior First Aid Certificate (including CPR) and a Blue Card are also required before the commencement of clinical practice. More information on these requirements is available at http://www.shrs.uq.edu.au/shrs/current_students/clinical_placement.html.

What you can study
Basic and clinical sciences are combined with practical experience to equip graduates to play a professional role in hearing health care. The program integrates the theoretical foundations of audiology with practical clinical skills in preparation for a career as a clinical audiologist. Students also gain the ability to contribute to the development of clinical audiology through research and scholarship.

Placement courses
Clinical placements commence in semester 1 of Year 1. Students are required to have a current Blue Card (Working with Children Check) before commencing clinical placements. For information on obtaining a Blue Card, contact the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences.

To complete the Master of Audiology Studies
To fulfil the requirements of the Master of Audiology Studies, a student must complete the requisite number of courses chosen from the course list in accordance with the Program Rules.
A student is required to obtain #32 from the MAudSt List. Refer to MAudSt rules for further information.
