Why study the Graduate Certificate in Engineering?

The Graduate Certificate in Engineering (ME) degree is a 1 semester program offered by the Schools of Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical and Mining Engineering, and Information Technology & Electrical Engineering. Five specialisations are available. Students in this program are taught by staff who are internationally recognised as leading experts in their fields, using state-of-the-art facilities.

What you can do with a Graduate Certificate in Engineering
Careers
Graduate Certificate in Engineering graduates have acquired experience that enables them to cross disciplinary boundaries, and are equipped to take on advanced engineering work. They will have a combination of business, problem solving and interpersonal skills; as well as technical engineering experience that will enable them to understand markets and develop relationships of trust with customers, suppliers, business partners, and to work within teams.

To complete the Graduate Certificate in Engineering
To fulfil the requirements of the Graduate Certificate in Engineering, a student must complete the requisite number of courses chosen from the course list in accordance with the Program Rules.
A student is required to obtain #8 from the Master of Engineering List or other courses in related fields of study approved by the Executive Dean. Consult the Head of School prior to enrolment. Refer to the ME program list and the GCEng rules for further information.
