Why study the Graduate Certificate in Clinical Pharmacy?
This program provides students with knowledge, skills and abilities to practise effectively as a clinical pharmacy practitioner involved in medicine use and pharmaceutical care; individualise, review and monitor a patient's medication regimen; demonstrate clear communication skills in clinical and non-clinical scenarios; critique and apply research methodologies relevant to clinical pharmacy practice; understand management issues in pharmacy and their relevance to clinical pharmacy practice; and describe social issues relating to medicine use.
A major program strength is the emphasis on clinical practice and evidence based medicine. Program places are limited due to the availability of suitable clinical placements in Brisbane.
International students are not eligible to apply for the Graduate Certificate in Clinical Pharmacy.
What you can study
Small group interactive teaching and discussion settings are the usual teaching method format, and student particiaption is encouraged. Some sessions of teaching occur on wards at teaching hospitals across Brisbane, illustrating the practical use of drug therapy. Various practitioners and academics teach the courses. Expert hospital and community pharmacists contribute significantly to the teaching together with medical and other healthcare professionals.

Program rules for the Graduate Certificate in Clinical Pharmacy
To complete the Graduate Certificate in Clinical Pharmacy
To fulfil the requirements of the Graduate Certificate in Clinical Pharmacy, a student must complete the requisite number of courses chosen from the course list in accordance with the Program Rules.
A student is required to obtain #8 comprising - PHRM7010 and PHRM7030; and #2 from the GDipClinPharm List.
