Why study the Bachelors of Arts / Social Science?
This dual degree program allows students to combine studies in the unique and innovative Bachelor of Social Science program with a wide range of majors in the arts. For example, foreign language studies can be combined with a major in Development. The Bachelor of Social Science teaches students how to develop strategies to help find solutions to a range of social issues at the local, national and international level. What you can do with a Bachelors of Arts / Social Science
Careers
Graduates of the BA find employment in a wide range of fields, with future directions dependent on the chosen area of study. Some specialised areas of study lead in specific directions, such as Psychology, Journalism or Archaeology. Other areas of study such as History, Communications, Political Science, Economics, and Geographical Sciences, provide the basis for careers in government, business, media, and humanitarian fields.
Social Science graduates are in demand in contemporary labour markets, in areas including public policy, human services, international development and communication services. Graduates are prepared for a range of careers in:

- public policy planning and implementation

To complete the Bachelors of Arts / Social Science
To graduate with a Bachelors of Arts / Social Science a student must have successfully completed all requirements of the program as certified by the Executive Dean. This includes courses to be taken to complete the program and any other specific conditions of the program including admission, enrolment and progression requirements.
