- a bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in computer science, or
- a bachelor's degree (or equivalent) which includes all of the relevant discipline content (see below)
A bachelor's degree awarded more than 5 years prior to admission will not be considered.
If your bachelor's degree was not awarded in computer science, you must have successfully completed all of the following discipline content in your tertiary studies:
- data structures and algorithms
- at least 2 programming courses
- discrete mathematics or algebra
- At least 2 of the following:
- computer organisation or computer architecture
- computer networks
- operating systems
- databases or information systems

Why study the Bachelor of Computer Science (Honours)?
Graduates will have in-depth knowledge and be prepared for leadership in the computer science profession. Graduates will be prepared for practice in a world of accelerating change and also have a thorough understanding with depth and accuracy of the computer science theory and foundations as well as of practical computer science methods that can be deployed in practice. In addition, graduates will display effective communication skills, independence and creativity, critical judgment and ethical and social understanding.

To complete the Bachelor of Computer Science (Honours)
To graduate with a Bachelor of Computer Science (Honours) a student must have successfully completed all requirements of the program as certified by the Executive Dean. This includes courses to be taken to complete the program and any other specific conditions of the program including admission, enrolment and progression requirements.
