Push the boundaries of knowledge and develop high-level skills in communication, research design, critical and analytical thinking, and project management when you complete an honours-level research project in your final year.

Psychology prepares you for a range of exciting careers that require superior problem-solving, critical thinking and understanding of human behaviour. For example, you may be interested in working in areas such as human resource management, youth work, residential care work, family and social services, public service management, private sector administration and management, market research, disabilities services, juvenile justice and corrective services, advertising or statistical research.

Your psychology degree will also prepare you well for further study leading to a career in areas such as occupational therapy, speech pathology, audiology, public health, counselling, social work, communication, development practice, environmental management, sports coaching, or health economics (among others).

Students contemplating a career as a registered psychologist are required to undertake a four year accredited psychology degree. To gain full registration as a psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia, you will need to complete postgraduate studies in psychology and/or supervised work experience.
