Research component
From year one, all students learn to be consumers, collaborators and generators of physiotherapy-related research, completing courses covering general research principles, statistics, health sciences research and research projects. Students integrate this into an evidence-based practice approach to clinical practice spanning from information literacy to knowledge translation. There is an opportunity for students who wish to pursue a research focus to undertake a research project in year 4.

Honours will be awarded to all graduates of this program.

Career opportunities for physiotherapists are extensive and include: public and private hospitals community health centres and agencies rehabilitation units preschool and school programs private practice, offering treatments to a full range of clients or specialising in areas such as sports physiotherapy, musculoskeletal physiotherapy, paediatrics, obstetrics and orthopaedics researchers, advisors or consultants in educational, industrial or government institutions.

To complete the Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours)
To graduate with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) a student must have successfully completed all requirements of the program as certified by the Executive Dean. This includes courses to be taken to complete the program and any other specific conditions of the program including admission, enrolment and progression requirements.
