- a grade point average (GPA) of 4.0 on a 7-point scale, and
- a GPA of at least 4.5 for 8 units of courses at level 3 or higher relevant to the honours project, and
- have secured an honours project and supervisor, and
- satisfied any additional requirements set by the head of school.

The Bachelor of Science (Honours) commences approximately three weeks prior to the start of semester one in the standard academic calendar (early February). This does not apply to Plant Science. <10>For semester two, the Bachelor of Science (Honours) commences at the start of the standard academic calendar (end of July).

To graduate with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) - Gatton a student must have successfully completed all requirements of the program as certified by the Executive Dean.
