Completion of the BCreatArts Pass degree or equivalent, with a GPA of 5 (or higher amount set by the Head of School) in a relevant major or extended major or the relevant honours entry courses.

Why study the Bachelor of Creative Arts (Honours)?

The BCreatArts(Hons) degree develops core skills and knowledge in theory and research in the creative arts disciplines. The program is based on a combination of coursework and a research project in the chosen field of study. Its objective is to produce graduates with skills and knowledge specific to the courses they studied but also to produce graduates who communicate well and think critically and creatively. Graduates should be able to express themselves effectively, both orally and in writing; be able to work cooperatively in a team; and be able to demonstrate a depth of understanding in one or more fields of knowledge. The Honours Program also prepares students for further study at the Master of Philosophy (MPhil) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) level.

What you can do with a Bachelor of Creative Arts (Honours)

Careers

Many employers, especially in large organisations, value the skills a Creative Arts (Honours) degree provides and will specify an honours degree as desirable in their selection criteria. Apart from content knowledge, employers and professionals value both the reliability and capacity for independent work, and the skill at writing substantial reports which are demonstrated by successful completion of Honours.

To complete the Bachelor of Creative Arts (Honours)

To fulfil the requirements of the Bachelor of Creative Arts (Honours), a student must complete the requisite number of courses chosen from the course list in accordance with the Program Rules.

An honours student must complete the program requirements for the field set out in Part H of the BCreatArts course list and approved by the Executive Dean and head of school. Students are required to undertake a research thesis.
