Why study the Bachelors of Communication / Journalism?
Communication is an exciting new area of study encompassing several disciplines. Students develop a critical awareness of how communication influences human lives. Courses examine the many different forms of communication, including verbal, non-verbal and written. The various technologies through which information is transmitted are also considered. The program emphasises applied skills relevant to work within communication industries. Journalism is a professional program aimed at preparing graduates for entry into work in journalism and related fields. It develops understanding of journalism and its media and communication contexts; the skills to do journalism, and the reflection necessary to be a journalist.

To fulfil the requirements of the Bachelors of Communication / Journalism, a student must complete the requisite number of courses chosen from the course list in accordance with the Program Rules.
