Prerequisites
- Bachelor of Communication from the University (or equivalent); and
- have gained a grade point average (GPA) of 5.5 on a 7-point scale (or higher set by the Head of School for specific fields of study) from an approved combination of courses comprising:
- all Level 2 and Level 3 BCommun Core Courses*; and
- 6 units of Level 2 and Level 3 courses from the chosen BCommun Major**; or
- satisfy the executive dean that the person is qualified to undertake the program based on the person's academic records and subject to completion of additional work, if set.
- The head of school may limit places depending on supervisor availability.
- Once eligibility is established, entry is via a competitive selection process based on GPA.

Why study the Bachelor of Communication (Honours)?
The Honours program is based on a combination of coursework and a research thesis in the area of Communication. This degree develops advanced skills and knowledge in Communication theory, research, policy and practice. It is an interdisciplinary program that enables students to study within and across schools that specialise in various areas of Communication.

To complete the Bachelor of Communication (Honours)
To graduate with a Bachelor of Communication (Honours) a student must have successfully completed all requirements of the program as certified by the Executive Dean. This includes courses to be taken to complete the program and any other specific conditions of the program including admission, enrolment and progression requirements.
