Why study the Bachelors of Information Technology/Arts?
Graduates will have in-depth knowledge and be prepared for leadership in the information technology profession. Graduates will display effective communication skills, independence and creativity, critical judgment and ethical and social understanding. The objective of the Bachelor of Information Technology is to train students in- the study of digital computer systems and their applications; the ability to process data or information in order to solve problems; the study of programming languages, algorithms and information structures.
The Bachelor of Arts component allows students to choose from a wide variety of majors to either complement their information technology studies, or to broaden their knowledge in another field, thus expanding their opportunities to work in different areas.

What you can do with a Bachelors of Information Technology/Arts
Careers
Career opportunities for Bachelor of Information Technology graduates are extensive because computer usage is almost universal. Graduates are likely to find employment in government; commercial enterprises; industrial organisations; computer manufacturers; public utilities; local authorities; universities or as private consultants. Bachelor of Information Technology and Bachelor of Arts graduates go on to many areas of employment. It will depend on the area of study undertaken, since some are specialised areas that lead in specific directions - such as Psychology, Journalism, or Languages. Other fields are general training for professional or semi-professional careers in business, government or teaching.
