Why study the Bachelor of Journalism (Honours)?

The program is designed to provide high-performing undergraduate students with the opportunity to undertake advanced academic study and to develop leadership skills for the profession of journalism. The aim is to round off the learning experiences provided at an undergraduate level by providing opportunities for research and leadership under close supervision. An Honours student is required to research a journalism-related issue in-depth and to present his/her findings in the form of a thesis. The Honours internship course gives students the opportunity to develop and enhance leadership and professional journalism skills.
