Why study World Literatures and Cultures?
The Honours program in World Literatures and Cultures major provides students with an opportunity to prepare for and undertake research in one of the areas covered by the World Literatures and Cultures research and teaching areas of the School of Languages and Comparative Cultural Studies. It is intended to build on the work that students have done in the World Literatures and Cultures major and to allow students to deepen their understanding of the intercultural issues and international perspectives on the fields of literary and cultural studies inherent in that major, whilst allowing them to specialise in a specific aspect of this field of study. All works are studied in translation (English) and there is no foreign language requirement.
