Why study Tourism and Event Management?
Tourism and events are important industries in Australia and play a pivotal role in the nation's economic prosperity. This major offers a comprehensive and professional understanding of all aspects of tourism and event management. You will study concepts and issues in relation to tourism and event systems; planning; operations; sales; marketing; policy; and strategy, through international case studies, simulations, and industry-facing projects. You will study practices and emerging trends in tourism and events and develop key business skills and attributes, such as teamwork, leadership, creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving. The combination of this knowledge, with relevant skills and attributes underpins your potential to become global tourism and event professionals and leaders.
