Why study Studies in Religion?
This field broadens students' knowledge and understanding of modern theology and religion. Courses explore major world religions, both eastern and western, as well as indigenous belief systems and new religious movements. The aim of studies in religion is to encourage an understanding of the phenomenon of religion by applying methods developed by historians, philosophers, psychologists, sociologists and linguists. Please note that this program is designed for students with little or no prior background in the field. Some of the courses listed in this field are delivered jointly to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
