Why study Sport and Exercise Psychology?

This field prepares students for practice in sport and exercise psychology through a combination of coursework and supervised practice. Careers in Sport and Exercise Psychology provide diverse opportunities from helping elite athletes develop the psychological skills needed to reach peak performance, to conducting research and awareness into the benefits of exercise for the treatment of chronic illness.

Accreditation for the Graduate Diploma in Psychological Practice and six specialisations is currently being sought from the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council and is expected to be confirmed in 2017.
