Why study Resource Management?
This field of study applies the public policy and governance perspectives developed in the core courses and focuses on how institutional, regulatory and policy frameworks can be used to manage natural resources to help ensure sustainable development. It explores conflicts over natural resources in a context of economic development and examines ways of resolving such conflicts using a range of instruments. The field addresses the strong demand for practitioners with the understanding and skills to manage natural resources from land and water to forests and marine resources.
