Why study Psychotherapy?
The psychotherapy specialisation offers advanced training in the use of psychotherapy techniques, with particular emphasis on common factor in psychotherapy, in psychodynamic and in cognitive behaviour techniques. Students also acquire research skills relevant to the investigation of some aspect of psychotherapy. Please note: Students can commence this specialisation program in semester 1 only. Courses are listed as internal at Herston campus, but they comprise a mix of in person and online learning activities. All students must attend in person one week of workshops (start of semester), and weekly synchronous tutorials via Zoom. International students must study full-time (3 semesters) while domestic students can opt to part-time 2-year pathway. All students must complete a research thesis 1 & 2 during their final year.
