Why study Professional Writing?
The Writing, Editing, and Publishing (WEP) program addresses the escalating demand for specialist writing and editing skills in all fields, channels, media, and genres within both traditional and new media. The courses present students with the grounding to generate, edit, and publish a wide range of academic, journalistic, creative, and workplace documents. All the courses have a close connection with current practices in the writing, editing, and publishing industries because the staff have extensive and current industry experience. The professional writing field is focussed on key skills, processes, and practices for students interested in pursuing professional writing and editing as a career, as research, or to enrich their existing workplace practices.
