Why study Popular Music?
To work as a musician, media producer or arts leader requires deep knowledge of how today's music industry interacts with media, industry, education and the cultural sectors. The popular music and technology minor helps you navigate contemporary arts careers by developing practical music-making, critical thinking and communication skills, and to grow your technical knowledge with computers, mobile devices and music production technologies. Learn how to compose film and game music, analyse music in media, manage collaborative media projects, get experience working in professional industry roles, and develop your creative voice as a musician in today's music industry. Get real experience recording professional artists and work on releases at Corella Recordings, our student-run record label.
