Why study Popular Music and Technology?

Popular music helps you to understand your own response to music and the society in which you live. This minor will see you explore rock music and its history through the artists, their music and culture, from the early 1950s through to today's age of free music downloads, technological innovations and festival culture. Learn to develop practical musical-making skills and technical knowledge with mobile devices, digital audio workstations, and recording studio technologies. Express yourself through writing and music production and be well-equipped for changing music-making environments. Graduates often find work in teaching, music production, broadcasting, and audio engineering.
