Why study Marine Geology and Coastal Processes?
The field of marine geology and coastal processes involves studies in the physical sciences necessary to tackle the concerns facing our coastal and marine environments. This specialisation examines the connections between the solid Earth, the hydrosphere and the atmosphere. You will learn to apply scientific techniques in the study of coral reefs, sediment and nutrient cycles, aspects of seafloor and ocean-island volcanism, offshore petroleum and mineral resources, and climatolology.
