Why study Innovation and Entrepreneurship?
The Innovation and Entrepreneurship major caters for those students seeking knowledge and practical experience at working through a business from the ground-up. Students will first be introduced to foundational principles in Innovation and Entrepreneurship, which clarifies the entrepreneurial mindset as well as the process. Students then apply this knowledge through a choice of 'in practice' courses, including commercial, social and corporate, which require them to action the entrepreneurial process and begin to create their own venture. Student development then extends beyond the startup phase to understand issues relating to scaling and growing a venture. Students will also have the option for a deeply personal development experience through the course 'Transformative Innovation for 21st Century Challenges', which utilises leadership development theory specifically focused on the consciousness required to manage 21st century complexity.
