Why study International Business?
This major provides an understanding of international business management. Courses examine globalisation factors and their concurrence with international business, international trade and investment, national culture and its influence on international business practice, the complexity of the international legal environment, production and logistics in a global context and global human resource management. In particular, graduates completing this major will be informed of the full suite of international business methods and will be able to develop informed strategic management for firms that are engaged in international business operations. The challenges encountered by Australian firms conducting business in regions such as Asia, the European Union and the Americas will be highlighted.
Graduates from this major will work in a wide range of private businesses looking to expand operations overseas. Career opportunities also exist in state and federal government agencies, and industry and trade associations.
