Why study Human Resource Management?

A field of study in human resource management (HR) is concerned with the behaviour of people within organisations. The range of functions includes recruitment and selection of employees, mangement of performance, compensation, training and development, career support, development of teams, communication and conflict and industrial negotiation and resolution. Courses cover content knowledge in these areas and also skills and personal capabilities necessary for HR graduates to be effective practitioners within organisations.
