Why study Governance and Development?
This field of study deals with development issues primarily as problems of governance, political development and institution building. It locates less developed countries within the global political economy and examines the pressures and opportunities this creates. There is a focus on the governance, administration and planning of development projects in a range of less developed countries, particularly with a focus on institution building. The field aims to equip students with broader conceptual and practical problem solving skills.
