The Major in General Civil Engineering aims to equip students with the capacity to immediately contribute to a broad range of civil engineering related projects. As part of this major, your fundamental knowledge of all of the sub-disciplines of civil engineering will be applied to solve and manage engineering problems across the natural and built environments, including building design, dams and flood protection systems, analysis and design of earth structures and foundations, transport system design and analysis, environmental engineering and pollution management.
