Why study Food Science and Nutrition?
Study a major in Food Science and Nutrition to learn scientific approach to the study of food and its consumption. You'll study all aspects of the food system, from farming, processing and distribution; to how food is selected, consumed and affects our health. Food is one of largest industries in the world and offers a diverse range of career opportunities in the fields of nutrition, food science and technology, education, research and development. In your final year, you'll undertake an independent research project under the guidance of an academic supervisor - essentially giving you a research apprenticeship. You may choose to tailor your specialisation with a major or minors from a broad range of scientific and non-scientific disciplines to suit your interests and career goals.
