The Master of Mental Health - Family Therapy stream offers unique opportunities to develop the capacity to use systemic principles and practices in therapeutic interventions with individuals, couples and families, including children and adolescents. In this program students will get a grounding in systems theory, develop knowledge and skills in a variety of schools of Family Therapy, and explicitly link theory to practice. The program covers both modern and post modern family therapy schools and promotes understanding of how to apply key skills from these schools in contemporary practice including integrative frameworks. This program has a large experiential component including experiential workshops, live supervision, and supervised clinical practice. Students will participate in a live supervision format with reflecting teams working with a one-way mirror.
