Why study Event Management?

The Event Management field focuses on the rapidly growing area of events. It looks at the impact of festivals and special events, event sponsorship and fund raising, the significance of meetings, conventions and events to modern economies' event marketing operations. The major explores frameworks for understanding special events and develops skills necessary to manage event facilities. Whilst it has direct vocational outcomes, it looks very broadly at the impacts and significance of events to modern day society.
