Why study Chronic Disease and Palliative Care?
This plan has been formulated to meet the increasing demand for nurses in chronic disease management and palliative care environments. As students progress through the program, advanced practice skills will be developed along with an increasing awareness of the social, economic, cultural and political determinants of health. the program has been developed in alignment with current developments within the Australian health care system and aims to increase nurses' knowledge and skills in the areas of chronic disease self management and life limiting illness.
