Why study Computer Science?

Computer science is the science of problem solving, computation and information. Computer scientists work to advance our fundamental understanding of computing, develop new and improved problem solving techniques and design more efficient and powerful computing devices and technology. In the Computer Science major, you will study a core set of computing courses with the added flexibility of combining this with courses from other areas of science and across the University. This extended major is ideal for students who wish to develop a larger set of computing knowledge and skills. Computer Science is available as a minor, major and extended major.
