Why study Clinical Psychology?
This field of study prepares you for practice as a clinical psychologist using evidence-based approaches to assessment and intervention to help people to enhance their functioning and reduce psychological distress. Clinical psychologists specialise in assessment, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of a wide range of issues including anxiety; depression; substance abuse; couple, parenting and family problems; adjustment to physical illness and learning difficulties.
Accreditation for the Graduate Diploma in Psychological Practice and six specialisations is currently being sought from the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council and is expected to be confirmed in 2017.
