Why study Business Information Systems?
The Business Information Systems major is designed for those who wish to obtain in-depth training in the analysis and management of information in a business environment. The major aims to develop skills relevant to a Business Analyst job profile and thus provides students with business analysis skills, including those related to data analytics and business information security, and facilitates the development of advanced Information Systems skills that enable students to advise on organisational information requirements and related strategy. Through completing the program, students gain skills to understand the business context, elicit organisational requirements, and design, develop and manage systems involving business data. The program thus equips students with a broad knowledge of business and technology issues to develop well-rounded Information Systems professionals.
