Why study Bioinformatics?
Under the guidance of an academic supervisor, an honours year in bioinformatics allows you to plan, research and produce a substantial project into topics such as emerging problems in biochemistry, molecular biology, genomics and proteomics. Design, implement and present your research project, with emphasis on defining the research issue, establishing methodology, undertaking appropriate collection and analysis of data and drawing defensible conclusions. Supporting workshops and courses will further add to your research training.
For further information on this plan and projects available, contact the School of Chemistry and Molecular Biosciences.
