Why study Archaeology?
UQ's Minor in Archaeology provides students with the opportunity to undertake four courses that will introduce the modern practice of archaeology and an insight into the diversity of ancient cultures. UQ is one of Australia's leading schools of archaeology with world class researchers, laboratories and innovative teaching and learning facilities. Students will gain insights into how archaeologists investigate the ancient past and how work with Indigenous people today helps construct a more reliable narrative of the past. The Minor in Archaeology provides a strong basis for understanding contemporary archaeological practice and is a complementary fit with other disciplines such as Anthropology and Ancient History.
