Why study Animal Production?
As an Animal Production graduate you will play an essential role in the management and production of domestic farm animals (cattle, sheep, pigs, poultry and goats) in a society with increasing needs for animal products, especially meat. You will develop research, multi-disciplinary and leadership skills which will enable you to integrate and apply knowledge to manage animal production facilities and businesses.
What you can study
The program has been designed to develop core research and leadership skills, scientific knowledge of animal science but with the flexibility to allow you to select electives from Agribusiness, Animal, Social and Food Sciences. You will have the opportunity to use the extensive animal resources on Gatton campus and visit commercial enterprises. You will also complete a significant research project in a selected area of interest.
